Terms of use

Effective 19 July 2026 · PDX, part of the Looplet suite
The short version PDX is provided free, as-is. Your documents are yours and stay on your device. Signing a document in PDX is a convenience tool — for legally critical documents, satisfy yourself (or ask a lawyer) that an electronic signature meets your needs.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to the PDX website and web app at pdx-viewer.pages.dev and to the PDX desktop application (together, "PDX"), operated from Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). By using PDX you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use PDX.

2. Your licence to use PDX

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PDX for personal or business purposes. You may not resell PDX as your own, misrepresent its origin, or use it for anything unlawful. Open-source components inside PDX remain governed by their own licences (see open-source licenses).

3. Your documents are yours

PDX processes your files on your own device and claims no rights over them. You are responsible for the documents you open, edit, sign or share — including having the right to use them and for keeping your own backups.

4. Electronic signatures

PDX lets you draw signatures, place them on documents, fill forms and, for PDX-format documents, apply cryptographic countersignatures. Electronic signatures are widely recognised (for example under Australia's Electronic Transactions Act and the US ESIGN Act), but whether a particular signed document is valid or enforceable depends on the law that applies to it, the type of document, and factors outside our control. We make no warranty that a document signed with PDX satisfies any legal requirement. For wills, deeds, property, court documents and other high-stakes matters, get professional legal advice.

5. Free software, provided "as is"

PDX is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that PDX will render every file perfectly, that saved output will be uncorrupted, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Always keep the original of any important document.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of PDX, including loss of data, loss of profits, or the consequences of relying on a signed or edited document. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our election, to re-supplying the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.

7. Downloads and security

Only download the desktop app from this site. While PDX is new, Windows may show a caution screen on download — this reflects the app's age, not its behaviour. We never bundle advertising, toolbars or third-party software with the installer.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue PDX (or any feature) at any time. We may update these terms by posting a revised version here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
